Renovating a residential property into Partou's Flagship
nursery with a Montessori style 

Innovex was appointed by Partou Nursery Group to deliver the full design, strip-out and refurbishment of a large detached residential property in Oxton, near Birkenhead. The aim was to create Partou’s flagship UK nursery, combining historic charm with modern functionality.

The project included roof and render repairs alongside significant internal structural alterations to open up the building and form bright, modern playrooms. Original features such as ornate coving, ceiling roses and wide skirting boards were carefully retained and restored to preserve the building’s character.

New facilities added included children’s bathrooms, a sensory room, staff welfare areas, a commercial kitchen and a vibrant outdoor play garden.

The result is a standout nursery that balances period character with contemporary learning spaces, designed to inspire children and support staff wellbeing.
